3. CORRESPONDENCE:

Anchorians F.C. has been awarded the Kent FA Charter Standard Community Club of The Year for 2015. This is the second time in 3 years they have been awarded this honour.

Congratulations were recorded by the Committee.

Real 60 secretary sending his apologies as unable to attend presentation night on 3rd June.

Anchorians U/18s on 29/03/15 recording thanks to league referee, Angela Hill for ‘ refereeing with professionalism and a level head. Her approach to the game ensured that any incident was dealt with quickly so play could continue, and the players respected her calm but firm approach.’

Lordswood Youth U/16 12/04/15 thanks to Steve McManus for organising a replacement referee on the morning of the game after the appointed referee was taken ill.

Cuxton 91 letter regarding Assistant Referees Secretary’s report in last meeting minutes, 01/04/15. Although your comments are noted, FA Law 4 applies and therefore this is a matter for the appointed referee on the day. There is some discretion within the adaptation of this Law for Mini Soccer only but again it for the referee to decide on the day.

Anchorians U/15 John Leeds Trophy final. Thanks to MMYL Committee for ‘making the final a great event for grass roots football. The boys had a great day and really enjoyed the experience’.

Lordswood Youth U/12 D1 3/05/15 Commend and thank league appointed referee, Cameron Payas for they way he handled their game. ‘His decision making was correct, fair and he handled a difficult game superbly.’

Walderslade application to enter MMYL 2015/16 season U/13 age group

N.B. Recommendation for any new clubs wishing to enter the MMYL 2015/16 season will be subject to availability in age groups and applicants will be interviewed by the Committee prior to recommendation to member clubs at AGM. Member clubs will be allocated places before a new club is recommended.

4. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT:

Over half way with Cup Finals disappointed with the incidents that have occurred especially within the first weeks resulting in a lot of bridge building having to be done following each incident with Sheppey Utd to ensure we retained the venue for the scheduled remaining finals. Not the behaviour we expected from our clubs/teams.
Season now drawing to a close hope all have enjoyed their season please co-operate with all Fixture Sec and League Sec as appropriate to clear the outstanding games. Congratulations to all winners and r/up see you at Presentation night.

Would all secretaries please remind managers of the guidance for marking referees. If you are not aware these can be found by looking on the KFA website at www.kentfa.com
Look under Referee Information and Regulations and then select a Club marking of Referees
Please remember a mark of 60 or lower requires a report within 7 days of the fixture and should be sent, in the first instance, to the age group registration secretary Rule 11E refers - a mark of 0 is not acceptable
Marking 60 and below - The referee demonstrated shortcomings in the accuracy of decision making and control which affected the game.
Low marks received and logged:

U15 12/4/15 Borstal 88 v Lordswood received from Borstal 88
U12 19/4/15 Hempstead Valley v Fairview Rangers received from Hempstead Valley and referred to KCFA

Medway Council Pitches

The Council will commence end of season renovations as soon as possible and therefore

5 v 5 and 7 v 7 pitches will not be marked after 12th April and no mini games should be arranged on Council hired pitches after that date.

9 v 9 and 11 v 11 pitches will be available for use as per normal allocations until 26th April. Any games after that date will have to be booked with me as I will only have authorised use of a few pitches and then only until 10th May.

Entry to MMYL 2014/15 – existing member clubs

The application form and declaration forms (Rule 7) for 2015/16 season have been issued under separate cover on 29th April. Please contact me if you have not received either of these items.

Deadline is midnight 31st May.

Ordering trophies for League winners/runners up – U/11- U/18s

Clubs are reminded of Rule 18C. Team winners and runners up will be supplied with 14 trophies, as standard, for U/11 – U/18s teams. It is the responsibility of the club to order, by e-mail from me, any additional trophies that may be required. The cost for these will be invoiced by the League treasurer at a later date.

Club Name/Colours

Please take time to read Rule 9(B) regarding change of Club name or kit colours for next season. Unless there is a clash of colours (9A) all teams in the MMYL should wear the colours registered by their Club with KFA upon affiliation. Permission to change may be only granted to you by KFA.

I am aware of various rumours circulating relating to possible changes next season. I have not received any notifications as yet although I understand and have reported that we may receive a new F.A. Standard Code of Rules for U/12 and below. When I receive any information I will report it to you.

In line with the F.A. Youth Development Programme you are reminded that U/11s age band from 2015/16 season will not be allowed a single eight-month season for fixture purposes and no league tables may be published.

Match cards have not been arriving by the Wednesday from certain clubs, some up to a week late! Can all those responsible for posting these cards make sure they do arrive on time.

Reminder--- the white box on my wall is for post --not my porch floor

11. RESULTS SECRETARY’S/WEBMASTER’S REPORT

The occasional email goes astray and never arrives with me, so can I just ask everyone submitting results to check a little later, say 7.30pm, that they have received my confirmation email (or a chaser). There’s no pattern and it has happened on a few occasions in the past month. Otherwise, all fine with results and website.

Congratulations to those who have won their cup finals, commiserations to those who didn’t and good luck to those not yet played. Congratulations also to league winners and runners up as the final standings become clear.

I will be away on holiday on 17 May, so I will be asking someone else to cover for me that day, although there are only half a dozen games in addition to the finals that day. I will send a note to the few affected clubs who need to make returns that day. Updated league tables will have to wait until I return on 23 May.
