Location
The Royal Residence experience begins as soon as guests arrive in the Maldives. Guests receive a complimentary priority customs service and a personal welcome at the airport, followed by a 20 minute luxury yacht transfer to the island.
The Royal Residence along with all facilities is its own island paradise tucked away from the rest of the resort at Jumeirah Vittaveli. Exquisite choice and seamless service shape the ethos of this private paradise, where each and every element has been uniquely created and designed.

Concept
The Royal Residence has been designed for ultimate privacy nestled away in a part of the Island away from the resort providing undisturbed peace and tranquillity. A dedicated chauffeur and private golf buggy are on standby for guests to enjoy the many facilities of the resort.
Jumeirah Vittaveli is known for its understated luxury and elegance, while fitting seamlessly into the traditions and style of the Maldives. The island is home to one of the most abundant housereefs in South Male atoll, and has 5 sunken ships close by for avid scuba divers. The more land-based travellers will find an award winning spa where the team produces its own 100% pure handmade coconut oil harvested from trees on the island, as well as four exquisite restaurants. The villas all include a private pool, and reflect the inspiration of a Maldivian fishing village with their natural coral walls and bamboo decoration, while featuring stunning interiors, including massive wooden furniture and selected artworks. A highlight are the free-standing Ocean Suites, only a heartbeat away from the main island and accessible by 24 hour boat service. These suites are the perfect accommodation for honeymooners or those seeking a uniquely private escape.

Royal Residence Experience
The Royal Residence encompasses 5 bedrooms, spanning over 3,500 m2 - making it the ideal playground for the extraordinary traveller.
The host is accommodated in the beautifully designed Sanctuary while family and friends are invited to enjoy one of two Guest Villas and the double-storey Guest House. Two private pools and a sunken lounge area provide plenty of space to enjoy quality time together.
The Residence’s joint living & dining pavilion leads out onto the expansive deck wrapped around the designer pool. A sunken seating lounge is enveloped by a lily pond, looking out over the ocean.
Beachside dining is available at the Residence’s own restaurant, seating 16 guests, and overlooking the private lagoon.
The Residence can also be booked in 3 bedroom configuration, with the same facilities as above except the two-bedroom Guest House.

Accommodation
The Sanctuary: The host of the Royal Residence enjoys the Sanctuary (530 m2) which features its own living area and is fitted out with a state-of-the-art Bang & Olufsen™ sound system including oversized flat screen TVs. Bathroom facilities comprise a Jacuzzi (seating 6) with in-built TV and a deep-soaking marble bathtub. Behind the Sanctuary lays the abode’s very own private gymnasium geared up with Life FitnessTM equipment, and a private spa pavilion by Talise.
The Guest Villas: The Guest Villas are located on either sides of the Sanctuary. Guests can choose between king-sized bedding in one Villa (240 m2) and twin beds in the other Villa (195 m2). Both villas include walk-in wardrobes, his and her vanities, deep-soaking bathtub and hi-tech features such as a 48” flat screen TV with Bang & Olufsen™ surround sound system, as well as private decks looking out over the ocean and encouraging slow afternoons, bathing in the warm rays of the sun.
The Guest House: The double-storey two-bedroom Guest House (302 m2) offers plenty of space for up to 6 adults, accommodating a group of friends or extended family of the host. It is located adjacent to the king-bed Guest Villa. Featuring a Master bedroom and separate living room downstairs, all with access to the Guest House’s own private L-shaped lap pool. Upstairs, there is a twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, opening up onto a rooftop terrace.

The Royal Residence features a private beach, spa pavilion, gym by Life Fitness™, two pools, outdoor and indoor living areas with Bang & Olufsen™ home theatre system, dining room, stunning bathrooms - with Kelly Hoppen™ bathtub and Jacuzzi with in-built TV in the Sanctuary - and adedicated restaurant as well as a fully stocked professional kitchen by nolte™ with a wine cellar featuring rare wines that are valued at more than US$ 100,000. Two separate service quarters can accommodate four staff.

The Royal Residence Art Collection by Maha al Mazrouei
Maha al Mazrouei, a gifted Emirati artist, has been commissioned by Jumeirah Vittaveli to design four pieces of bespoke art to celebrate the lavish five-bedroom Royal Residence. Specialising in cubism and abstract styles, Maha has reimagined the Maldivian islands using oil based paints of blue and white hues, to match the chic interiors and furnishings of the Royal Residence.
A twin painting flanks the grand entrance to the Royal Residence and sets the mood for a tranquil island escape. A more daring and colourful piece decorates the private spa pavilion – this painting was inspired by the colourful gardens of the island. In the living area of the Sanctuary – the accommodation reserved for the host of any Royal Residence stay – hangs Maha’s breath-taking depiction of over- and underwater beauty in the Maldives.
Maha has been active in the creative world since 1993 when she co-founded the Tebra Art Group together with other female Emirati artists. In recent years, Maha has been producing an eclectic selection of solo art including a collection of murals featured at Jumeirah’s world renowned Burj Al Arab property and paintings inside the VIP Majlis at Dubai International Airport.
