Independent Insurance Agents of Texas Names Matt Frierson
Young Agent of the Year
AUSTIN, TX — The Independent Insurance Agents of Texas (IIAT) is proud to announce that Matt Frierson, partner at Pierson and Fendley Insurance Agency in Paris, has been named the André P. Juneau Young Agent of the Year at
IIAT’s 114th Annual Conference and Trade Show. This award is given annually to a young agent in Texaswho has achieved success through hard work, community engagement and industry participation in a manner thatwould be considered exceptional for a person of his or her age.
Frierson has served on both the young agents and small agency advisory councils at the state level, and was also president of his local association.“Matt is a young man who invested early in his business education and has experienced a stellar rise in his influence within the association and his community,” said Dennis Devlin of Travelers Insurance. “His commitment to his professional association has been exemplary.”
In addition to his commitment to his job, Frierson is active in his community. He has served on the board of directors and as President for the United Way of Lamar County, NETSEO Boy Scouts of America, Keep Paris Beautiful, as well as on the City of Paris Traffic Commission. He currently serves on the City Council of Paris, Texas and as a Director of the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce.
Frierson graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in business administration. He also earned an MBA from SamHoustonStateUniversity and his CIC designation.
