Turnstone comes away with a 3rd & 5th Place at Power Soccer Nationals in Indianapolis

Fort Wayne, IN-Turnstone was proud to have two teams playing in the MK Battery Power Soccer Nationals in Indianapolis on June 16-18, 2017.

There were 29 teams competing from around the United States.

The Turnstone Flyers finished 3rd in the nation. The game to determine 3rd place, was the longest in Power Soccer history. The score was tied at end of regulation of 40 minutes.

Score was also tied at end of 2 full 5 minute mandatory overtime periods. We were 9 minutes into the 4th sudden death 10 minute period of overtime, no breaks in-between, and we scored! Total game time 89 minutes. This was against the Minnesota Magic who we had tied in pool play.

The Flyers only lost to one team all weekend. Circle City Rollers and defending champs. We lost to them in pool play and in the semifinals. Last time we will let that happen!

“Turnstone is proud to have not one but two Power Soccer teams ranked in the top five in the United States. These athletes put their heart and soul into their games and their passion is evident in their athleticism.” said Mike Mushett, Turnstone CEO.

The Turnstone Flyers finished the tournaments ranked 3rd in the United States and the Turnstone Furious Flyers finished 5th in the United States.
