Ref:(a) Meadow Lake Airport Association Bylaws and Rules & Regulations

The Board of Directors of the Meadow Lake Airport Association welcomes you to Colorado’s largest privately-owned public-use airport. We hope that your experiences here will be enjoyable ones for many years to come. In order for us all to enjoy the airport, we would like to offer the following guidelines for conduct around the airport:

  • The speed limit on the airport is 20 mph.
  • Aircraft ALWAYS have the right of way
  • Taxiways are designated by letter signs (“A”, “B”, “C”, etc). Aircraft cross Cessna Drive at Taxiway “C” (Charlie) and “E” (Echo) and taxi along Cessna to/from the crosswind to “J” (Juliet) … Give way. Cessna Drive is NOT designated as a taxiway, but is occasionally used by aircraft. All other roads are privately maintained ingress/egress easements.
  • Please do not block taxiways … airplanes can be 40 feet wide … temporary parking only may be condoned in taxi easements if far enough to the side that aircraft can comfortably get past (It is very hard to judge wing tip clearance from the cockpit). Be aware that you may be required to move quickly for an aircraft to get by.
  • Obey “do not enter” and “no vehicle” signs … only vehicles conducting official business are authorized on the main runway (15-33), the parallel taxiway (“Alpha”), and the crosswind landing strip. Unauthorized vehicles will be reported to the El Paso County Sheriffs Office.
  • Report any suspicious activity to any board member or the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
  • All buildings and land are private property. All other roads and taxiways are easements on private property. Utilities (electric, water, restrooms, etc) are privately owned and maintained … please ask the appropriate owner before using any of these facilities.
  • No hazardous materials may be stored in any hangars.
  • There are currently NO hangars on the airport that are approved for residency … violations will be reported to the El Paso County authorities.
