MDPH WebEOC 7.4 Quick Reference Guide for Local Public Health

Accessing WebEOC

Logging In

  • Select your username (name of your community and “Public Health”)
  • Type your password and click OK.
Position and Incident

  • Select Position and Incident from drop-down lists
  • Click OK
The default and ongoing incident will be titled “Year Month Incidents”, such as “2011 October Incidents”. Specific incident names will be communicated once created.
Additional Login Information

Enter complete contact information as requested. / Control Panel
If your control panel (pictured below) does not appear after login, your popup blocker needs to be turned OFF.

Viewing Information
  • Click on the board name to view the board.
  • If there is new data in a board, the name of the board will turn red.
Adding information
All information posted to a significant events board originates from an activity log.

  • Click Activity Log on the control panel.
  • Select New Record
/ Activity Log

Complete the fields on the screen:
  • Event type
  • Priority
  • Details
If this does not need to be sent to another board, click Save.
To send the information to another board, you must route the posting using the routing panel on the left side of the activity log.
Routing
Information will only be kept in your own activity log unless you route it accordingly.

  • Choose where your post should go (regional significant event board or statewide health and medical events board) using the checkboxes
  • Click Save

Significant Events Boards
Regional Significant Events Board
This will show postings from healthcare entities within your MDPH region. To post to this board, you need to route to it from your activity log.

Statewide Health and Medical Events Board
This board will show posting from healthcare entities and MDPH, across the state. To post to this board, you need to route to it from your activity log.
Entries sent to the Statewide Health and Medical Events board are reviewed before they posted.
/ Resource Request Boards
All requests (afterbeing communicated directly to ESF-8, either through the Duty Officer or the ESF-8 desk at the StateEmergencyOperationsCenter) shall be entered into the Resource Request Board.

To enter a request:
  • Click New Request in upper right corner

  • Fill out all information.
  • Click Save.
