MAYFLOWER NEWS
The September Wine and Cheese party was a huge success. Lots of fun and we certainly appreciated our Lodge air conditioning that day. The luncheon served was scrumptious.
If you are planning to go on the bus trip to Solvang on October 24 please get your reservation in ASAP. The trip is popular and there is limited seating. The reservations are taken on a first come first serve basis.
MAYFLOWER HOLDING COMPANY
The renovating of the downstairs room is still in process. It was decided that any group given permission to use Suite A (room under construction) will be under a lease contract and must adhere to the rules of the contract to use space.
The next meeting of the Holding Company will be held October 8, 2015.
MEMBER NEWS
Karin Johnston recently returned from a wonderful trip to Sweden. Fun filled time of visiting friends and family.
Harry Rekefors will soon be visiting California and participating in Mayflower activities.
Robert (Bob) Clauson recently moved back to Sweden. He asked that I say “Hi” to everyone from him. Bob’s updated address and phone information is listed on the bottom of the first page of the newsletter.
Britt and Kurt Olofsson had a fun filled visit with family and friends in Sweden this summer. While they were visiting Britt’s cousins held a reunion. They also toured some of Europe. Britt’s emails sounded as though they were having an exciting summer holiday.
HEARTS AND FLOWERS
On October 1st Richard Stephens underwent surgery to implant a new pacemaker. He will not be able to drive for a month or work for two months. We wish him a speedy recovery.
