SWAT Meet – Thank you to ALL our hard working volunteers for your time and efforts at our SWAT meet this past weekend. Not all the receipts and reports are completed yet but the approximate total that our SWAT meet generated is coming in at about $8,000 dollars. The team efforts of each chairperson, our workers, your concession donations was noted by other teams and we received very positive comments about the organization of our meet. Thank you again to all our team members who made this a successful event.

Tie Die Event: We are in the process of evaluating our SWAT meet this last Saturday. We would like to know everyone's opinion on the tie dye vendor that came in to sell his merchandise and whether it would be productive to have them come to another meet. Please respond to if you purchased an item(s) from this vendor, which items and how many. Thanks in advance for your participation on this.

Heidi Szczupakiewicz

Junior National Team: Congratulations to the following SWAT Swimmers who achieved the Junior National Cuts and will be attending the Junior National meet in ColumbusOhio this weekend. Good Luck to Brittany Walsh,Samantha Pochowski, Emma Szczupakiewicz, Jack Lennerz and Mike Lucchesi. Our swimmers will be rubbing elbows with the most talented swimmers in the country and we are very proud of their achievement.

Scholastic All American: SWAT is proud to announce that Matthew Jungers (SRP) has made the USA Swimming, Scholastic All American team. Scholastic All Americans meet very stringent standards to qualify. Eligibility requires a USA Swimming member in grades 10 to 12 achieve a 3.5 GPA or better and meet a Junior National Bonus Time Standard. Matt has worked hard both in the pool and academics and is to be commended. Way to go Matt – we are proud of you.

RAFFLE: Thank you to Carrie Taylor and all her support staff who organized this years Raffle. This is one of our most important fundraising events of the session and is a major reason why we were able to keep session fees the same (and in some groups lower) as last session. Congrats to our grand prize $1000 winner – Heidi Paquette. Checks will be mailed out by our team accountant. To see a list of all our winners, view the home page of the SWAT website.

Fundraising Clarification: A number of our AGS, S8, G8 families who have their season divided into a Fall and Winter session have asked why they have not received fundraising credits from SCRIP or other events on the recent billing, as credit for the Jan/February Session. USA Swimming is divided into 2 sessions. Short Course which runs September to February, and Long Course which runs April to July31st. Fundraising credits are only generated 2 times per year also to align with those dates. The February bills for long course will show your credit earned from all Fundraising events held July 25th to January 31st. Our August bills for short course will show the fundraising credits earned from February 1st to July 24th. If you did not purchase Kringle, Coffee or heat sheet ads, you still have time from now to January 31st to earn credit toward your next sessions dues –Each dollar of profit from SCRIP gets credited 50/50 between the team and you for earned credit next session- So – make your holiday spending go further, purchase whatever items from whatever stores you planned to shop at anyway and get credit back on next seasons dues – its not that hard to signup if you have not done so. Check your emails this week for SCRIP contact details, special offers and order/delivery deadlines.

Kringle Sales:Thank you to Theresa Briggs for once again organizing this yummy fundraising event. Theresa and Shirley Roberts were up and out on the morning of the snow storm to personally pickup(in their own vehicles) all the Kringle orders to sort and deliver for the pickup at Muskego HS. Doing so saved the club delivery charges and increased the profit margin for all you. Thank you ladies, for all your extra effort for the team. The profit generated from this event was $1600, up from last years $1400. Which means, $800 in fundraising credit will be going back to those of you who participated – Good job!
Coffee Sales: We greatly appreciate Tom Stigler taking over this fundraising event this year. Tom stood outside by his truck delivering coffee orders at our SWAT meet – brrrrrrr….Thanks Tom – Details on this sale:35 families participated. The profits were 1,306.00, with $653 going back to those 35 families. Way to enjoy a great cup of joe – while earning credit for next sessions dues!!!! Thanks Tom and all participants.

Winter Session: The rosters for AGS/S8 and G8 are now posted on the SWAT website. Rosters only include names for which the office received payment. To view, click on Membership Info and scroll to Rosters – If your swimmer is not listed, and you know you sent payment or included payment for the winter session with your Fall Session Fees, please contact the office, so we can track down your check. Because we did not want Escrow Credits to draw down the amount owed to the session – your accounts was not actually billed, but several emails announcing the amount owed to the winter session were sent. Costs to do the Jan/Feb session for currentlyregistered (paid for fall) swimmers are: S8-$100, G8-$115, AGS- $120. If coaches moved your AGS swimmer to AGG you should continue the December practices with AGG. The cost for moving to AGG for December to Feb is $198. Payments for the Winter Session can be mailed to:

Coach Nicky/Baby update: As some of you know, Coach Nicky went to the hospital last Friday –(So what is it with SWAT coaches baby’s trying to time their arrivals on SWAT hosted meets)? –As some may recall – Coach Jacks baby was born last summer during our SWAT hosted state meet! Anyway – here is the update from Nicky: I am still pregnant, and this baby is refusing to be born! We went to Waukesha Memorial Friday to Saturday with strong contractions that were 2-7min apart, and couldn't be controlled. Unfortunately, the rest of my body wasn't ready to have the baby. Medication to try and stop the contractions has seemed to help. I am feeling better and able to sleep now. So all we have to do is wait. Thank you all for your concern, well wishes, prayers, and support. I will keep my SWAT family posted with any new developments, and for goodness sake, try and have this baby already! They said he is about 7lbs already, and today is only 34 weeks!

Take Care all- Coach Nicky
