Topic 1 Understanding Addition Reteaching and Study Guide packets
Common Core Standards: 1.OA.1, 1.OA.3
Students will recognize parts of a number as a strategy for addition, write addition number sentences to find the whole, given two parts, write addition sentences to solve stories about joining, and add in any order.
Students will read together and complete Reteaching Topic 1 sets A, B, C, and D pertaining to the objectives above. Teacher will check student papers and class will discuss how each problem should have been done.
Topic 1 Study Guide—Class will complete Topic 1 Test packet, with the group reading each question before students complete the work for each problem. Teacher will check student work and class will discuss how each problem should have been solved. Class will take both papers home to study for Unit 1 Math test on Friday.
Thursday Math---10:30-11:10, Lunch and Bathroom is from 11:10-11:40, Lexia Reading 11:40-12:40 in the computer lab is across from our classroom. Right now I am using student birthdates off the copy of their emergency cards in the orange folder on my desk to help them login in the lab. Most students have brought in ear buds or headphones to use in the lab. These are located in my bottom desk drawer.
