Description:An introductory study of the trigonometric functionsusing coordinates, angles, right triangles, and the unit circle. Topics include basic and advanced identities, analysis of graphs, right
and oblique triangles, and applications.
Objectives:Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able
to: evaluate trig functions for coordinates, angles and arcs; solve
right andoblique triangles and their applications; graph and
identifycharacteristics of trig functions; and evaluate expressions
using trig identities.
Tests:Four tests are given throughout the semester. Any student who misses a test or scores below 30% will receive a zero for that test.
No make-up tests are given. The tests are tentatively scheduled
for the following dates:
