1-Year International Partner-MSGF program

FORDHAM UNIVERSITY GABELLI SCHOOL OF BUSINESS, NEW YORK, USA (GSB)

The primary goal of the Master of Science in Global Finance program is to prepare professionals for leadership and management roles in the global financial services industry. In general, the curriculum will impart to students an awareness of the current challenges facing the global financial industry, as well as a solid foundation in financial theory and applications. Specifically, the program covers a mixture of important areas of the financial services industry including: the financial management of multi-national companies, risk management, portfolio strategies in equity and fixed income securities, and trading of complex securities in the global financial markets.

The 1-Year International Partner-MSGF program is available to qualified applicants from our International Partner Universities. This document details the eligibility criteria for students to apply for the 1-Year Partner-MSGF program and specifies the course of study foracademic years 2015-2016.

(1)Application

Current students and recent graduates of approved Masters Program in Finance or Economics at a Partner University are eligible to apply for the MSGF program. Students must (a) demonstrate proficiency in English via standardized tests such as the TOEF or other National tests or have taken higher level English courses as part of the undergraduate program of study or have primarily taken Masters courses taught in English;(b) have completed an undergraduate degree; and (c) apply via Fordham’s online application portal with all required supporting documents and materials. The partner university will pre-screen all applicants to the program before applicants complete the GSB application process. Fordham GSB will evaluate all applicants in accordance with GSB’s normal and customary admission standards.

Fordham is currently accepting applicants are for Fall 2016. Students should apply via Fordham’s online application portal at the MSGF program. Students must submit all required supporting materials. Please contact for clarifications and questions.

(2)Course of study

The MSGF program requires students to take twelvecourses(thirty-six credits). The courses consist of three parts.

(A)Foundation Courses [2 Courses, 6 Credits]

Students can transfer two courses that are the equivalent of the two foundation courses listed below. Students can transfer these courses if they earn a B or above.In each of the courses.

(B)Fordham MSGF Courses [10 Courses, 30 Credits]

Students have to complete ten upper level finance courses at GSB’s New York campus as given below. GSB reserved the right to revise and update the list of courses to be offered to MSGF students.
