REPORTS

President Robert Lefort

Beer and Dynamite event was a great success. Thanks to everyone who participated and donated their time. Lodge #28 made approximately $875.00 which will help us help others in the coming months. Special thanks to John Campbell for providing the music. Food for thought about different things we can do next year to make this event even more successful.

IPP Gary Lapierre

Cercle Laurier, Inc. in Woonsocket, R.I. is sponsoring a Beer & Dynamite on Friday, December 6, 2013 from 6-9pm for the Milk Fund. “The Milk Fund” is a registered charity (501c3). For the past 73 years it has been distributing milk to the needy families of the Woonsocket area.

Motion by Mr. Lapierre to make a charitable donation in the amount of $100.00 to the “Milk Fund”. Seconded by Mr. Lefort. Motion passes 5-0.

Financial Report (Reviewed and accepted by Board 4-0)

A copy of the monthly financial report will be made available to all members in good standing. Please contact any Executive Board member if interested in obtaining one.

Secretary Rich Allain

Update of Membership Roster is going well. Current membership is at 225. Fifty (50) are active member retirees. Will be adding 4 new members to bring our number up to 229. Current Lodge #28 By-Laws do not include a mission statement. Secretary will review National Constitution and By-Laws mission statement and draft mission language and present to board for review at next meeting. Next event is the Frozen Five Mile Run on January 1, 2014. Asking all Board members to come up with at least one (1) business or personal sponsor for the run shirts. Sponsorship is only $50.00.

Motion to purchase 100 runners bibs for $50.00 from Gary Atlas for Frozen Five Run. Seconded by Mr. Johansen. Purchase approved 5-0.

Motion to purchase 25 FOP license plate stickers from HALO ($5.75 ea.), current supply exhausted. Seconded by Mr. Lefort. Purchase approved 5-0.

Motion to purchase 250 FOP 2014 window decals for 2014 membership packages from HALO ($0.55 ea.) Seconded by Mr. Lefort. Purchase approved 5-0.

Motion to make charitable donation in the amount of $50.00 to Massachusetts Cops for Kids with Cancer. Seconded by Mr. Lapierre. Donation approved. (This will exhaust our $1,000.00 stipend from the State Lodge from Donation Reimbursement.

Meeting adjourned at approximately 5:30pm

Next scheduled meeting is Friday, December 13th at 3:30pm (site to be determined) but more than likely at President Rob Lefort’s house.
