Return this application to the guidance office no later than April 2, 2018.
Objective and Eligibility – To recognize excellence in high school academics, extra-curricular involvement, and kindness towards others in order to support the higher education of an Enterprise High School student that plans to attend Auburn University in the fall after graduation. The student applicant must have maintained at least a “B” average throughout his/her high school tenure.
Description – A $1,000 cash scholarship ($500 per semester) to be applied toward tuition or other college-related expenses (room, board, supplies, books). If a “B” average is maintained, the scholarship will remain with the recipient until graduation from Auburn.
Funding – The Mary Elizabeth Green Scholarship is supported by a private contribution given by her parents.
To Apply – Students are required to complete the application form available from their Guidance Counselor. Upon completion of the application, the student should submit the form, along with two character references to the Guidance Counselor’s office no later than April 2. Character reference forms are included in this packet.
Scholarship Selection – The recipient of The Mary Elizabeth Green Scholarship will be selected by a panel consisting of MaryBeth Green (EHS – 2015; Auburn University junior), her older sister, and her parents. Their decision will take into consideration the applicant’s academic record, extra-curricular activities, application input, and references. The decision of the family will be final.
Notification – All applicants will be notified of the final selection by mail prior to the Enterprise High School Honors’ Program in May of each year. The scholarship money will be awarded once the winner is selected. The $500 check(s) will be made payable to Auburn University and should be deposited directly into the student’s account.
