-Slam Dunk, Mary McLain√ Girts BB Coach being interviewed. Will do Applebee’s pancake fund raiser

-Concessions, Mary McLain√ items being ordered and delivered, we need to get rid of Gatorade items (jugs etc) we are contractually a “Coke” school – have to use Coke products. Will use Sign-up Genius for concession staffing.

-Touchdown, √ Karl Long, not in attendance but sent update: 30 people on teams, requests for $ (items to benefit all sports) 1. Mobile white board $517 approved, 2) mesh sideline tarp with logo $1344 or $2000 with logo (approved with or without logo) 3. Yard sign approved. Themes for football nights decided:

  • Shared with HS Football, MS Football, Soccer (mens), Basketball (menswomens)
  • Need to verify with all teams who might use it lacrosse won’t use

-Field Maintenance √

  • July (aerate, verticut, top dress), new sod on stadiumdone, mower repairs, gas from UCPS depot done – we don’t have to pay Steven Helms to help John Demaine stick to budget

-HS Football Summer Clinic Recap √ 48 children attended

-Field Painting √

  • Using David Webster for stadium, MR logono logo on field to save $2000 (use Art. Dept instead?, we own logo stencil, will logo kill the grass?)

New Business

-Custodial Services for MS & HS games√ have contract with Freddy Moore

  • BC to sponsor Tailgate at 9/12 Cluster Night we will sell tickets and food

-Background Checks for BC volunteers / Concessions √per Doug Jones, 1 person with approved background check in stand at all times

HS Update√

MS Update √

  • Chris Robertson to lead a committee to revamp administration of MS sports
  • Will work with Dan Wagner, Dr. Jones, coachesprovide clear role of school, BC, Coach
  • Kathy Duggan had clearance sale at Campus Cleanup with $1400 in sales.
  • Look into getting electricity to hut at stadium for lights both inside and outside
  • Paperwork requirements, concussion testing (all sports?), concussion course for coaches, first aid kits, team pictures, coaches gear, need for long-term budgeting for each sport, coaches/team mom use of website
  • 8/19 session at Monroe HS – First Aid & Safety – need to invite MS coaches
  • Donations received for Football helmets and uniforms helped save money
  • Few scholarships
  • Few waived late fees
  • Football game day procedures (coordinate with Jamerson)
  • Volleyball uniforms missing
