MARKETING WEAPONS OF THE FUTURE

Assume you have developed a new weapon. Imagine that you have to market this weapon to countries in an attempt to make money. You are responsible for the following:

  1. Visual

Create a visual of your weapon. Consider:picture, drawing, painting, model, diorama, video, PowerPoint, etc.

Somewhere on the visual include a slogan or catch phrase that you can use to market your weapon

  1. Written Portion

Complete a ½ page (minimum) write up in a memo format (see example). In this memo, you need to do the following:

  1. A brief description of your weapon. If applicable, who is the inventor, where was it created (country), when was it created?
  2. In a paragraph, explain the advantages of this weapon. What can it do that is unique? What are benefits to using this weapon?
  3. Briefly identify any potential disadvantages of this weapon. How would you suggest reducing the potential problems with the weapon?
  1. Creativity/Effort

Your project should demonstrate creativity & effort. Don’t simply do a “report” with a picture; be creative & have fun with this. Consider using propaganda, maps and photographs; write a skit/commercial, create a short video, etc. If you were a country involved in war & someone pitched you this weapon, why would you want to buy it?

** Extremely creative & thoughtful projects could be worth extra credit…
