Market Vision Reports CBT Installation Guide

Installation Prerequisites
Web Server / Local Machine / SCORM Compliant Package
20 Mb free space for Content
Web Server with the Flash MIME type registered / 20 Mb free space for Content
IE 5.5 or higher
Macromedia Flash Player for IE
Audio support requires a windows compatible sound card and speakers / 20 Mb free space for Content
SCORM compatible LMS with the Flash MIME type registered on it’s web server
Client needs for all deployment models:
IE 5.5 or higher
Macromedia Flash Player for IE
Audio support requires a windows compatible sound card and speakers
  1. Insert the Market Vision Reports CBT CD into the CD-ROM drive. The installation program should begin automatically. (Note: Some computers are configured to not allow CD-ROMs to autorun. If the installation does not begin automatically, browse the CD and double click the setup.exe file to manually begin the installation).

  1. Setup will open the welcome window, click Next to continue.

  1. Read and agree to the terms of the License Agreement. When you have read the terms completely click Yes to continue.

  1. Enter your name, company and the serial number that was shipped with your CBT and click Next (the serial number should be located on theback of the CD case).

  1. Select the type of installation you are performing and Click Nextto continue.

Installation options:
  1. Web Server Install – Select this option to install the required files to a web server to deploy via an Intranet, or the Internet. Depending on the type of web server and it’s configuration you may need to take additional steps to define the installed content as a web accessible resource, and secure it for user access.
  2. Local Computer Installation – Select this option to install the files for a single user on this machine.
  3. SCORM Compliant Package – Select this option to generate a SCORM Content Aggregation Package for import to a SCORM compliant LMS. Once deposited you will need to import the course into your LMS.

  1. Accept the default directory by clicking Next to continue or click Browse to search and select another location to install the CBT.

  1. If the options listed in the Start Copying Files window are correct click Next to continue.

  1. The Setup Status window will show the progress of the installation.

  1. Click Finish to complete the installation.
