Mark Your Calendar! Visitation Day - Friday, August 15th
1:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M.
At The WISE Center located at 555 Walton Road
(former Walton High School).
Obtain schedules, bus information, and visit classrooms. During the visit you may follow your child’s schedule (posted outside homeroom classroom), meet his/her teachers and other personnel, preview instructional materials, and receive information and necessary forms. You may also pre-pay for school meals.
The WMS Pridebook (planner) will be issued the first few days of school for students and teachers to review school procedures and policies. After review, the Pridebook will be taken home for parents to read and sign to acknowledge receipt of Walton Middle School policies.
1st Day for Classes - Monday, August 18, 2014
For Your Information: Shopping for School *
§ Clothing should cover the body. The midriff (stomach area), back or chest should not be exposed.
§ Skirts, shorts, or dresses should be to the knee in length.
§ Pants must be worn at the waist with no sagging or bagging.
If leggings are worn, shorts or dresses to the knee must be worn over them.
§ Button-up shirts, polo style shirts, and T-shirts with short, three quarter or long sleeves may be worn. Sleeveless tops are not allowed.
No muscle shirts, tank tops, spaghetti straps, or low necklines.
§ No garment with holes, tears, or cuts above the knee.
§ No back-packs allowed! Drawstring Bags will be allowed this year.
Purses should be no larger than a sheet of notebook paper.
§ No drinks/water bottles/liquid containers allowed, except when carried
inside of a lunchbox. Carbonated drinks are not allowed in the cafeteria.

7th GRADE
JParents are responsible for supplying these items for the entire school year.
Please make sure your child brings paper and pencil to school every day!

* Loose-leaf notebook paper
* #2 pencils
* Colored pencils
Additional supplies may be requested.
Items should be replenished throughout the year.
JCheck with your child about his/her supplies each week.

BASIC calculator w/square root key and negative key
1 folder with pockets/numerous pencils
ENGLISH 1 one inch 3 ring binder/dividers w/tabs/loose leaf paper
Highlighters/pencils
Paperback novel – Bystander by James Preller
CIVICS ½ or 1 inch binder with dividers
Highlighters
SCIENCE 3 subject spiral notebook/3 prong folder/highlighter
Large pink erasers
READING Pencils/notebook paper
P.E. CLASS: Dress-out clothes are to include tennis shoes, a loose-fitting BLUE or GREY crewneck T-shirt, and BLUE or BLACK athletic/gym shorts that comply with the WMS dress code. (During cooler weather, students may wear jogging/sweat pants). The student name must be written in/on all shoes and clothing!
WMS P.E. uniforms will be available for purchase during Open House.
The set includes a t-shirt and pair of shorts. The cost is $18 for the set.
