The Cricklewood Xmas Lights Switch On went well last Friday with good turnout. Thanks to all involved in its organization.

Mapesbury Dell Improvement Projects for 2015. The Dellplans someserious improvement works in the Dell next year (see details on They have a possible source for the funding needed.. But one of the conditions of the funding is that they have to undertake a survey to demonstrate that people want this to happen. So please support the Dell; look at the changes proposed and take the survey. (It’s a simple questionnaire – just 4 Yes/No answers). Parking Consultation. Brent are consulting on proposed changes to MA parking zone. (If you are in the area you should have received the consultation document). They are proposing to convert from single yellow to double yellow lines at some corners in order to improve accessibility and safety. It seems that issue may be very much a local matter and would urge you to respond (by deadline 19th December) if you have views about particular locations.

Small Business Saturday 6th Dec. Small Business Saturday is a national grass roots campaign aimed at encouraging people to shop locally and to support their local economy on one of the busiest shopping days of the year. More on

Street Trees. In the past MapRA has supported financially (using Open Garden Day funds) the planting of additional street trees. We would like to do this again in a limited way. If you know of a location which would benefit from a street tree (type of tree to be decided in consultation with the Council) please let me know.
