29th Annual Folkfest, July 13 and 14, 2018
ETHNIC FESTIVAL IN MANISTIQUE, MICHIGAN
Folkfest is a celebration of life that takes place the 2nd Saturday in July on the main street of Manistique, Michigan. Art and Craft Booths display their diverse wares on two blocks while the aromas of Multicultural Food Booths tempt the participants down the street. The central stage provides ethnic music and entertainment with the Beer Garden close by. The Children have their own street, which supplies the young with extra special fun. Folkfest is truly an event for everyone.(Friday night Pet Parade & Street Dance).

DATE: Food Booth- Set up on Friday can start at approximately 3:00pm after the City blocks off the street. You may also sell Friday and Saturday night during the Street Dances if you would like. Please make sure you have enough food to last the entire day.
Art & Craft Show-Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 10:00am-5:00pm.Set up on Saturday begins at 7:00 am and all vehicles must be off the street by 9:30 am.
Breakdown may not take place before 5:00 pm on Saturday.
LOCATION: The 200 block of S. Cedar Street and continuing north for as far as we need space in downtown Manistique, Michigan. There will be no rain site, come prepared for all weather. (Wind can be a factor sometimes).
YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED WHEN THE MAP IS COMPLETED TO TELL YOU WHERE & WHAT YOUR SPACE NUMBER WILL BE. THIS INFORMATION WILL ALSO BE AT THE INFORMATION BOOTH LOCATED IN THE INTERSECTION OF WALNUT & CEDAR STREET SATURDAY MORNING. PLEASE ASK IF YOU ARE NOT SURE.
ELIGIBILITY: Items crafted by the applying artist. Commercially produced items are welcome and will be accepted on a case-by-case basis.The show committee reserves the right to reject any items they may deem unacceptable, up to and the day of the show. Please contact City Hall at 906-341-2090 for more information.
REQUIREMENTS: A food license must be obtained from the Schoolcraft County Health Department and all State and local regulations must be met. A representative from the Health department will do an onsite inspection. License fees are the responsibility of the food vendor. If you have a commercial food license you still need to submit required paperwork to the Health department.
ENTRY:Art & Craft Show- $50.00 (Non-Profit $30.00)
Food Booth- Commercial Venders $100.00 (Non-Profit organizations fee $30.00)
VENDORS PLEASE NOTE: If you need to have a trailer next to your booth for storage, or plan on using more than the allotted space, you will be required to pay double your entry fee. The extra space must be purchased now, there will be no extra space the day of the event. –Thank you!
Booth fee is required with the application.
Participation is on a first come first serve basis. Return postmark will determine order of entries.

Fee will be returned in the event of rejection. No refunds will be granted to accepted vendors who cancel.
LIABILITY:Completion and submission of the attached application indicates your understanding and agreement that the Folkfest Committee assumes no responsibility for loss or damage to any work or display or personal property.
SALES: All sales to be transacted by the vendor. All proceeds go to the vendor. Each vendor is responsible for the collection of 6% Michigan sales tax. Payments made directly to the government authorities.
