Ralph C. Villecca Sr. in 2009 started Villecca Consulting Group and has been directing all on site project management tasks for Prologis’ Teterboro Landing site located in Teterboro NJ. The 62.5 acre site has been in the process of being redeveloped since 2009. As the onsite project manager Mr. Villecca directs/monitors site safety, environmental and compliance activities as well as interfacing with local, county, state regulatory and municipal coding officials. He is the site’s liaison with the local construction trade unions. To track costs and potential schedule issues, Ralph developed a Visual Workplace metrics system for visually tracking daily/weekly cost/schedule progress of all site activities. Activities included: The world’s largest In Situ Thermal Desorption project, In Situ Chemical-Oxidation remediation, Radiological and PCB remediation, managed the importation of over 567,000 tons of fill to raise the site for future vertical construction, utility infrastructure installation as well as Geo-Technical coordination.
In 2009, Ralph retired from Honeywell’s Aerospace Sector after 25 years of service. His last position at Honeywell was Health, Safety, Security & Environmental Site Leader/Communication Public Liaison Officer. During his 25 years with Honeywell, Ralph also held leadership positions in Internal Corporate Communications/Public Liaison, Logistics, Technical Publications and Total Quality Management. He holds a Green Belt Certification in Six-Sigma processes.
In his role as Honeywell’s HSS&E Teterboro Aerospace site leader Ralph was acknowledged for his training and communication initiatives in the development of health and safety awareness programs that resulted in a significant improvement to the site’s HSS&E metrics. His site ranked within the top 10% of all Honeywell Avionics/Aerospace sites for HSS&E Metrics each year.
Implemented an Incident Command System for all potential site incidents/emergencies which improved response time of the site's Emergency Response Team.
Core member of the site’s labor negotiation team that successfully negotiated the site closure Union Labor Contract. This resulted in a 90% drop in grievances.
Led Safety Risk Assessment Team; utilizing Failure Effects Mode Analysis (FEMAs). Performed assessments on 28 functional areas within the campus complex. Result: identified high risk areas and increased safety awareness and safety training in those specific areas.
In September of 2014, Ralph will be beginning his 18th consecutive year as an Adjunct Professor of Business/Technical Communication at Fairleigh Dickinson University Madison/ Teaneck campuses.
