Manager’s Meeting Minutes 1/26/2017
Things that were discussed during this meeting:
- We will not be raising fees in 2017. The fees will remain at $270 per player.
- Each team must have 10 fully paid players by March 1 to draft at the league tryout on March 4.
- NEW POLICIES:
- March 1 – Any player (up to the 15th player) that pays his league fee after March 1 must tack on a $5 late fee.
- March 15 – Any players (up to the 15th player) that pay their fees after March 15 will incur a $10 fee. Each team must have a minimum of 14 fully paid players by March 15 to be in good standing (to get practice times, etc.).
- Once a team has 15 fully paid players, each additional player is reduced to $185.00. A team can still charge the player $270, but they only have to pay the league $185, so they can keep the remaining $85 for themselves.
- July 1 – the prorated fee drops to $135 per player for new players (only if that team already has 15 fully paid players).
- Any team losing free agents will be compensated by the receiving team. This will apply whether those teams are in different leagues or not.
- It was mentioned as a suggestion by one of the managers in this meeting that compensation for a team taking a free agent from another team should be monetary instead of a first round draft pick.
- There is to be no practicing on any field unless that team is current on league fees. Don will schedule practice times based on fees paid.
- Campbell middle is off limits (it is getting a facelift).
- Every manager should have a copy of the manager responsibility guide. This guide should be the first place that any manager looks if they have questions. If you do not have a copy of the manager responsibility guide, then please let J.J. know.

Announcements:
- The league tryout/draft will be on Saturday, March 4. Time and location are yet TBD.
- The next manager meeting will be held on Thursday, February 9. This will be the last manager meeting before the league tryout/draft, so make sure that you have all of your money turned in by this meeting.
- If you need to send money to the league outside of a meeting, then you can send a direct PayPal payment to . If you send a direct payment to the league, please set the payment as “sending money to friends or family” instead of “paying for goods or services”. If you choose “goods or services”, then PayPal will deduct a transaction fee from the payment, and you will still owe this shorted amount for the transaction fee to the league. If you send it as “friends or family”, then there is no transaction fee, and the league can keep the entire amount that is sent.
