No. 14/04

RESULTS from Saturday 3rd July 2004

U6 REDvsCarlingford Uniting7 - 1

A very big game on a very small field. All players played well with good passing and support play. Harrison was unlucky not to score his first goal and Emily played extremely well in goals.

Player of the week – Harrison Lira.

Goal scorers – James Elliott 3, Connor Barkley 3, Ahmed Dbouk 1

U6 WHITEvsOLQP Falcons2 –1

Good defensive game by the Whites saw us victorious the second round.

Player of the match – Jason Tran. Play of the match – Aiden with a solid full length run.

Goal scorers – Reece Osland 1, JasonTran 1

U7 REDvsWentworthville Uniting2 - 0

A great game and a well deserved win. Emulating Ghandi, we stuck to principles of passive resistance in the face of repeated and undisciplined shoving. A concerted effort closed the half with two goals up for the Reds, leaving the second half clear for a few experiments in personnel changes. Rongamai and Avik were given a reprieve from their defence duties and displayed considerable skill in various goal attempts. Overall, a thoroughly satisfying match to take the kids out into the holiday period.

Goal scorers – Simon Ghaleb 1, Eddy Fakhri 1

U7 WHITEvsLidcombe Churches9 - 0

A solid dominating performance in a shortened game. Lidcombe were unable to get out of their half as our halves kept feeding the ball forward and the forwards kept putting it away. Alan was good, Daniel was very strong up front and Jordan played a blinder, defending powerfully in the second half and getting to a number of 50/50 balls first. Well played all.

Goal scorers – Mahammed Abdul Hamid 3, Daniel Jabou 3, Jordan McAlister 1, Martin Lo 1, Alan Guzman 1

U8vsBye

U9vsCoverdale Christian School6 - 1

Our team continues to improve, with great support play by Jonathon, Alex, Jason and Mark. With two players short in the first half, the boys did well to be at 1-1 at half time. With Joshua back, the boys had the extra player to support their great effort. Junior and Shaun took their opportunities. Great work boys, we have our hardest game coming up, which will be a test of our strength.

Goal scorers – Shaun Borg 3, Junior Clark 3

U10vsGreystanes Churches0 – 2

We didn’t move, we didn’t even kick the ball at times. They were taking goal kicks continuously and we were unable to convert any of this territorial advantage into a single goal.

U11 REDvsSt Columbas Castle Hill7 – 0

Good win today. The boys played well, passing the ball around and staying in position. We took control of the game with good team work through the whole game. Our goalie, Dale, scored two goals in the first five minutes of the second half. Well done! We had some great attempts at goals. Well done boys. Man of the match – Nabil Zainal.

Goal scorers – Thomas Naing 3, Dale Atkin 2, Wahid Kaka Ali 1, Nabil Zainal 1

U11 BLACKvsLidcombe Churches3 – 5

Playing the team running second we played our best game of the season so far. Strong clearances from Karitua, Joannee and George, through balls from Billy, Terry and Matina and goals from Mustafa saw us give Lidcombe a big fright. A bit of luck saw them get the points.Keep up the great work everybody and we’ll have a good end to the season. Player of the match Athavan Sresutharsan.

Goal scorer – Mustafa Nazary 3

U12vsGreystanes Churches1 – 3

We played a great game. We held them to 1-1 until the last few minutes when a rush of blood saw too many boys lining up to score goals, and our defence neglected. Last round this team beat us 5-1, we are really improving.

Goal scorer – Tony Baissari 1

U13vsRouse Hill Anglican College25 - 0

A couple of club records. The first is obvious. The second, William Wark (u7s) became the club’s youngest player to play under 13s. Not a lot can really be said, Rouse Hill tried throughout and a number of McCredie’s defenders got a chance to score, including Tim, released from goal keeping duties. The boys maintained their respect for their opponents which was pleasing to see.

Goal scorers – Ahmed Abdul Hamid 9, Caner Temel 5, Nawab Rezagee 3, Steven Ghadieh 3, Tim Uzelakcil 2 Rabur Abdullah1, Ahmad Saraya 1, Toufic Haddad 1.

U14vsSt Marks Coptic2 – 2

This was a disappointing game and result. Better team work would have helped. Generally we outplayed the opposition but we conceded goals too easily. Coptic only got into scoring position twice, whereas we had too many missed chances. Rhys and Kiril gave their all in defence and Nathan and Bassam showed some good forward moves. Cihan settled down in the last fifteen minutes to direct some good play.

Goal scorer – Nathan Cross 1, Cihan Ada 1

U15 REDvsSt Columbas Castle Hill1 – 1

Under 15 Reds equalled St Columbas in every way today, and that was reflected in the score. Our team work has taken a new direction over the last few weeks. A mighty effort. Keep it up.

Goal scorer - Yusuf Temel 1

U15 WHITEvsBlacktown Reformed 6 - 0

It was 2 – 0 by the end of the first half. All the boys were in good form and highly spirited. Good passes and excellent team work gave them four more goals in the second half. Little Richard and even the full back Tarik got a goal each. Man of the match was James McManus.

Goal scorers – Scott Dibley 2, Rocky Naing 1, Tarik Cetin 1, Richard Fares 1, Sharma Hasan 1

RC NORTH RESERVESvsGreystanes Churches4 - 0

A great result by the side. We have finally found a midfield. General welcome Steve. We played great possession soccer and Big Musa has finally found his touch in the last few weeks, consistently scoring goals. The whole team deserves the credit for setting Musa up. We have found form at the right time of the year.

Goal scorers – Musa Canli 3, Greg Wark 1

RC NORTH FIRSTSvsGreystanes Churches4 – 1

Good result. Played very well in patches when we pushed the ball wide. Great games Stephen V. and Adam.

Goal scorers – Steve Verity 1, Kari Bergsson 1, Sindri Bergsson 1, Mathew Dixon 1

Goal scorers – Bobby Sugarevski 2
