MAN Truck & Bus presents new Euro VI generation for the construction industry at bauma 2013

Under the motto "Consistently efficient", the new Euro VI vehicles for traction transport are in the limelight at the MAN stand in Hall B4 at the bauma trade fair.

The fair, which takes place in Munich from April 15 to 21, 2013, sees the world premiere of the new, Euro-VI-compliant engines in construction vehicles, the new cabs with steel bumpers, the new crew cab and a heavy-duty four-axle tipper with a gross weight of 50 tonnes for operation in the mining industry. With its exhibits at Stand 209/307 in Hall B4, MAN provides evidence of its competence through efficiency in the construction segment. MAN construction vehicles complying with the Euro VI standard and combining economy with reliability await the customer. The sophistication of the proven MAN TGL, TGM, TGS and TGX series, in conjunction with MAN's continual innovation when it comes to construction vehicles, results in exceptionally good handling with safety at the highest level.

The new MAN TGS and TGX series have a completely new front-end design with a harmoniously integrated steel bumper. Similarly, the all-wheel-drive version in the TGM series is also equipped with the new steel bumper. Customers have responded very positively to the new interior design of the MAN TGL and TGM, whose on-road versions have already been introduced. It offers more comfort and functionality, thanks to the high-quality finish and easy-to-use instruments. MAN's appearance at the trade fair is rounded off by the presentation of the re-engineered crew cab for the TGL and TGM series. On the outside, it exhibits the new design of the Euro VI vehicles, while the interior is brand new.

"For many decades now, MAN has been a strong partner for the construction industry. With our reliable, rugged and economical trucks as well as our comprehensive portfolio of services we provide support to our customers in efficient construction logistics. We have continued developing the well-known strengths of the TG series in the traction segment for our new MAN trucks in the Euro VI version," says Anders Nielsen, CEO of MAN Truck & Bus AG. "This is why the motto for the premiere of the new MAN TGL, TGM, TGS and TGX at bauma 2013 is 'Consistently efficient'. I cordially invite international visitors to bauma 2013 to our stand so that they can see for themselves our expertise in the sector. With our efficient trucks, we offer the optimal transport solutions for the most varied of operations and for almost every region on the planet. Thanks to our strength in technical innovation as represented by the MAN HydroDrive® or the MAN PriTarder®, we continually set new standards in the construction-vehicle segment – and create real added value for our customers."

MAN will be presenting its MAN TGL with the new crew cab as an exhibit at the fair. This is an efficient truck with a big payload capable of carrying seven people plus material. The MAN TGM with all-wheel drive illustrates MAN's competence when it comes to carrying out a multitude of different operations. All-wheel drive and a wide range of facilities for attachments make this truck deserving of the appellation "efficient workhorse". The MAN TGS is the vehicle for dealing efficiently with the everyday routine in construction. The 6x4 version with three-way tipper body widely-used on construction sites presents the unique steering brake for optimal manoeuvrability, MAN TipMatic® off-road transmission and an engine-dependent power take-off for operating the tipper body. The MAN TGX is exhibited as a tipper semi-trailer tractor equipped with MAN HydroDrive®. For many years, this engageable traction has helped MAN customers do the job more efficiently. The big cab of the TGX series shows that MAN is also meeting the demands of those customers who expect maximum space and comfort in construction vehicles.

These exhibits are recognisable as Euro VI vehicles by their distinctive new fronts. Experts at the stand will explain how MAN integrated the complex Euro VI components in the vehicles in such a compact manner. The fifth exhibit is for the internationally expanding market in the mining sector: a four-axle MAN TGS. This vehicle is designed for a gross weight of 50 tonnes. Experts will be on hand at the Service Points to provide visitors with information on various different services.
