Dear Friends,
We are preparing for our 7th annual Fall Fest “Hope for the Holidays,” to benefit The Center for Grieving Children, which will be held at Vie on November 16, 2017 from 6:00-10:00 p.m.
The Center for Grieving Children is the only citywide, free resource for grieving children and families. The Center provides free grief groupsin East Falls, West Philadelphia, Lower Northeast Philadelphia, and South Philadelphia, as well as in over 70 area schools and community centers. Here is just a snapshot of the impact The Center was able to make last year:
Free grief groups for nearly 700 youth and 100 parents and caregivers
74 grief groups provided for free in 70 schools in the City of Philadelphia
Training to 406 professionalsand caregivers in ways to support grieving youth
But in order to keep growing our work out to Philadelphia’s grieving children, we need your help! We are a non-profit organization that receives no government or third party funding and offers all of our services to families for free. Therefore, we rely on individuals, businesses, and foundations to fund our programming. Our Fall Fest event is a critical part of that fundraising effort, and we hope to raise over $175,000 at this year’s Fall Fest.
