The Agriculture Education major, Education Track, is designed for students who desire to teach secondary agricultural education. This program provides the foundation courses for students to earn a degree along with the professional education courses leading to teaching credentials in Agricultural Education. The discipline specific courses are paired with courses that prepare students to teach and work with a diverse student population in an agricultural setting. Courses include Curriculum Planning, Students with Special Needs, Educational Technologies, Instructional Design, and Program Planning in Agricultural Science. The additional coursework for Agricultural Education majors is diverse. Students choose coursework from several areas including Animal Science, Plant and Soil Science, Agricultural Engineering, Forestry, Wildlife, and Agricultural Economics.
