CALL TO ORDER:
John Wieczorek called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. at the Mahoning Township Building, 2685 Mahoning Drive East, Lehighton, PA 18235
ROLL CALL:

John Wieczorek, Chairman; Bruce Steigerwalt, Supervisor; Linda Benner, Supervisor; Franklin Ruch, Supervisor; Todd Weaver, Supervisor; Thomas Nanovic, Solicitor and Natalie D. Haggerty, Secretary-Treasurer
PUBLIC COMMENT:
Shannon Gogal 61 Jamestown Drive Lehighton present at the request of the Board of Supervisors to introduce herself. She is interested in serving as a representative on behalf of Mahoning Township at the Lehighton Memorial Library.
MOTION
Franklin Ruch made a motion to appoint Shannon Gogal as library board representative on behalf of Mahoning Township at the Lehighton Area Memorial Library. Seconded by Todd Weaver. John Wieczorek, yes; Bruce Steigerwalt, yes; Linda Benner, yes; Franklin Ruch, yes and Todd Weaver, yes 5-0 vote. Motion carried.
William Grant, Developer present to discuss Summit Ridge Development Agreement
MOTION
Bruce Steigerwalt made a motion to accept the extension of time to complete public improvements and have the letter of credit for the Summit Ridge Development be in the amount of $1,260,706.45. Seconded by John Wieczorek. John Wieczorek, yes; Bruce Steigerwalt, yes; Linda Benner, yes; Franklin Ruch, yes and Todd Weaver, yes 5-0 vote. Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
MOTION
Linda Benner made a motion to approve the minutes of the November 12, 2012 Board of Supervisors Meeting. Seconded by Bruce Steigerwalt. John Wieczorek, yes; Bruce Steigerwalt, yes; Linda Benner, yes; Franklin Ruch, abstain and Todd Weaver, yes 4-0 vote. Motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS:
Lowe’s Traffic Signal Maintenance Agreement
Spoke to Attorney Grey, the changes are satisfactory however they suggest keeping the escrow amount at $5000.00 not $10,000.00. The Board suggests the dollar amount should be increased to $10,000.00 due to line painting. I will forward Attorney Nanovic the quote for line painting.

Advertise Public Notice of Intent to appoint Kirk, Summa & Co., LLP Certified Public Accountants
MOTION
John Wieczorek made a motion to advertise Public Notice of Intent to appoint Kirk, Summa & Co., LLP Certified Public Accountants to replace the elected township auditors for the year 2013 and to conduct the 2012 calendar year audit of the township books and accounts. Seconded by Todd Weaver. John Wieczorek, yes; Bruce Steigerwalt, yes; Linda Benner, yes; Franklin Ruch, yes and Todd Weaver, yes 5-0 vote. Motion carried.
Hemlock Drive Reverse Subdivision
MOTION
Franklin Ruch made a motion to rescind H&H Development Group Reverse Subdivision Plans dated October 7, 2011. Seconded by John Wieczorek. John Wieczorek, yes; Bruce Steigerwalt, yes; Linda Benner, yes; Franklin Ruch, yes and Todd Weaver, yes 5-0 vote. Motion carried.
Mahoning Valley Plaza (90 day extension request)
MOTION
John Wieczorek made a motion to grant Mahoning Valley Plaza a 90 day extension to March 9, 2013. Seconded by Linda Benner. John Wieczorek, yes; Bruce Steigerwalt, yes; Linda Benner, yes; Franklin Ruch, yes and Todd Weaver, yes 5-0 vote. Motion carried.
John Wieczorek broke the meeting for a short executive session at 6:41 PM. The meeting reconvened at 7:20 PM.
MOTION
John Wieczorek made a motion to accept resignation of Chief of Police Kenneth Barnes effective December 20, 2012. Seconded by Franklin Ruch. John Wieczorek, yes; Bruce Steigerwalt, yes; Linda Benner, yes; Franklin Ruch, yes and Todd Weaver, yes 5-0 vote. Motion carried.
