Virtual Video Project

a Global Kids internship at Museum of the Moving Image

What if you could have a virtual life, become a filmmaker, and making a difference in the world… all at the same time! What would you create?

Working with Global Kids’ Leadership Program and staff at Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, Queens, student interns will learn the digital animated filmmaking technique known as machinima, become part of a multi-player online virtual world called Second Life, and work with their peers to make a difference in the world.

By the year’s end, you will produce a movie that can be shown at festivals both in New York and online, and to your fellow students at your school.

A cash stipend will be provided to all participants who complete the program.

This is a competitive internship and limited spots will be available. In addition, we anticipate there will be leadership opportunities to visit conferences, meet with leaders in the field, and present the program to others.

Do you have what it takes to turn a vision into reality? Then apply below.
