The company was founded bySPIRIDONA GANIat 1975, based at the village of Milopotamos, very close to the city of Drama. Its main activity is to produce sawed timber, mainly for use in the construction industry, and wooden pallets.
At 1995 Spiridona's children Stavros and Michael, already successful businessmen, assumed control of the company's management. Their first action was to proceed with the modernization of the company, its relocation to new privately owned facilities and the acquisition of latest technology equipment.
They also proceeded to the acquisition and utilization of special forestral mobile machinery and the necessary transport means, in order to transport raw material from forest to factory and to secure the smooth and timely delivery of their products to customers.
The company operates since 2000 as an SA company under the name of GANIS BROS SA. The installations of GANIS BROS SA , are located in a privately owned area of 100.000 square meters at the village of Milopotamos, very close to the city of Drama. They feature: a log alley of 90.000 square meters, production and storage facilities, covering 3.500 square meters, offices covering 300 square meters. All of the company's production line equipment was obtained recently (2002-2005). For their acquisition the company spend a total amount of over € 1.500.000.
Some of this equipment is:
a log sawing machine (waterfall) Primultini (italian manufacture), having microproccesor, cameras and programs for the remote control of its log load. It has high precision sawing capability and production rate at 150 cubic meters per eight hours, round wood.
a new production line STORTI (italian manufacture), acquired at 2004, with automatic raw material feeder for pallet construction (automatic nailing, thermal printing, piling), entirely computer controlled, with capability of 1.000.000 pallets per year.
Also during 2004 a new production line was established for re-sawing sawed timber and the production of pallet elements (STORTI). Furthermore, the company implements and concludes, during the first quarter of 2005, an investing program of € 713.000 in total, with the installation of a drying facility for sawed timber and pallets. For its needs, the company currently owns 12 trucks, 4 skid units, and various mobile forestral machinery.
Currently the company is capable of processing 40.000 cubic meters per year. Due to its size and expertise, along with the initiatives and actions of its associates, covers effectively all of Greece. For the production of its products, Ganis Bros SA uses as raw material round wood, pine (black and forestral), red fir, beech and poplar.

The Estate WINE ART was founded in 1995 by the engineers Yiannis Papadopoulos and Yiannis Kalaitzidis. Total production amounts to 180,000 bottles. There are two product ranges on the market with the names “Techni Alypias” (white, rosé, red) and “Idysma Dryos” (single varietal Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay, Assyrtiko).
In 2007 it was deemed necessary to expand the initial winery, since it could not cover the needs any more. Its owners, combining aesthetics and functionality, expanded the winery to the opposite side of the road, joining two buildings, old and new, with an impressive arcade, which crosses under the ground the village's main road. The visitor can browse the winery and taste the wines in the tasting room.
