Luminaria: Experience the Light Returns to the Ashton Gardens

-Nearly a million lights on display at popular holiday event-

LEHI, Utah (November 14, 2017) – Thanksgiving Point (www.thanksgivingpoint.org) is proud to announce the return of Luminaria: Experience the Light at the Ashton Gardens from November 20-December 30. Luminaria is closed Sundays and Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Luminaria features nearly a million holiday lights spread throughout the Ashton Gardens. Luminaria will also have 27 different “beats” for guests to enjoy featuring all the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of the holiday season. Some of the beats include:

·  The first sight guests will encounter is the “Tree Top Summit”. The 120-foot Christmas tress soars above the Vista Mound surrounded by strands of multi-colored lights and features.

·  The “Merry Mosaic” is 6,500 luminaries of a variety of colors that leads the eye right to the Tree Top. The luminaries are set to music and amazing visuals.

·  “Smore’s Village” is filled with intimate fireplaces where families can make their own smores. This area is also dotted with fun games for everyone in the family.

·  “Reindeer Woods” welcomes back our real reindeer for guests to visit with two of Santa’s real reindeer

·  “Light of the World Garden” with 15 scenes of bronzed statues from the life of Jesus Christ. Each statue will have theatrical lighting and music to help create a unique experience for guests at every stop.

The experience is a little more than a mile walk around the Gardens. Guests are encouraged to bundle up as the weather can be unpredictable and can enjoy Luminaria with a wide variety of ticket options including General Admissions, Premier, and VIP tickets. There are also fire pits available to rent with s’mores package and a very special Weekend Package that includes a night’s stay at the Springhill Suites and Courtyard by Marriott.

Ticket pricing and other details for the event can be found at http://thanksgivingpoint.org/events/luminaria.
