- The work that ITU-T SG16 is undertaking with regard to the IMS.
ITU-TSG16 Reply: SG has so far not undertaken work related to IMS and associated text messaging. Q21/16, as a generic Question to deal with multimedia services and applications, has some interest in this aspect. Thus, Q21/16is open to new opportunities to standardize multimedia services and applications based on IMS and for global messaging.
- Obtain the views of ITU-T SG16 as to how there is differentiation between private IP networks and the Internet and how such differentiation is reflected in the Recommendations.
ITU-TSG16 Reply: SG16 Recommendations do not make distinction between enterprise networks and public internet networks.
- Provision of information on the use of the Internet to facilitate global communication and messaging services (including MMS), based on global service codes.
ITU-TSG16 Reply: This does not apply to SG16.
- The relevant collaboration activities that you have established between ITU-T SG2 and ITU-TSG3, and in particular on WTSA-12 Resolutions 29 and 64.
ITU-TSG16 Reply: Other than coordination with ITU-T Q4/2 on human factors related issues for improvement of the quality of life through international telecommunications, currently there are no collaboration activities with SG2 and SG3.
ITU-TSG16 will keep JCA on PP-10 informed of our future activities in this area, if any.
