Counselling. A service is run by Self Help Services and runs from the centre on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Please contact the centre for a referral form.

Ardwick Connect Team (ACT) – providing a free helping hand for parents

  • Do you have children aged 0–5?
  • Do you live in Higher Ardwick, Coverdale, Brunswick, West Gorton or GroveVillage?
  • Are you struggling to cope with the demands of being a parent?
  • Are you finding it difficult to manage your home, your money and to find a job?

If so, you may be eligible for free advice and support through Ardwick ConnectTeam’s services.

Ardwick Connect Team will listen to your issues and help to solve them with you to improve your family’s quality of life. The Team offers free support personalised to your needs. Once you have registered with us, we can either see you at our base at Bushmoor Sure Start Centre, or we can visit you, whichever suits you best.

There is no charge. We are here to help and we would like to hear from you. If you know somebody else who might benefit from our service, please pass our details on to them.

Sensory Room at Ardwick Children’s Centre - an opportunity for parents and carers to relax with their children in a calm and tranquil, multi-sensory environment.

Toy Library at Ardwick Children’s Centre - a range of pre-school toys and resources for you to take home and enjoy with the family for a period of up to 2 weeks. Please ask a member of staff for more details.

Book Lending Library at Ardwick Children’s Centre – arange of books offering parenting skills, advice, child development and learning through play. Please ask a member of staff for more details.

If you are interested in any ESOL Classes please ask a member of staff within the centre.

The speech and language team give information and advice about any aspect of young children’s communication development from birth to 5 years.
