Welcome to new members: Lisa Davie, Neil McGrory, Kate O’Hara, Sone Spottiswoode (absent) and Vanessa McGilliard (absent)

Parent/carer survey returned 69 responses.
Sub-group to be set up to review responses in time for next order and interim measure required.
Ties and scrunchies to become responsibility of PTA instead of Office. / RH/AB/RW
4 / Membership
Tiered membership
Discussion about how to get more people involved in the PTA at a level suitable to them.
Core committee – regularly attend meetings.
Online helpers – get involved in Facebook discussions.
Event helpers/Go to Group – pool of parents/carers happy to assist at or with organising events.
Facebook group
Current Facebook group privacy to be changed to closed or secret. Discussion held looking at alternatives to Facebook. Decided to continue with Facebook for now.
All members to set their Facebook notifications to show group discussions. Kate O’Hara offered to help anyone with settings if required.

5 / Lessons Learned
P1 breakfast
·  Feedback received has been excellent.
·  More staff required if future breakfasts held at FITS as two members of staff was not sufficient.
·  Suggestion to rearrange seating or to stand to encourage more mingling.
·  Suggestion to pre-book function room at Low Port Centre for next P1 breakfast (2017) in order to facilitate better socialising. / RH/LW
6 / PTA calendar
Copy of 2016/17 event calendar handed out.
Discussions to be set up online:
·  May is a busy month for PTA events and everyone to think about how this could be rearranged.
·  New ideas required for future events including a sponsored event in early 2017 (Event must not be a sport. Sponsored silence held in 2016).
Short feasibility to be put forward with new ideas.
Photo Shoot (October)
·  To be held in school hall.
·  Charge nominal fee (tbd) and photos will be delivered on CD.
·  Photographers – RH and contact of Kirsty Pllu.
·  Date tbd – Elizabeth Ramsay to check dates hall available. Decided preferably a weekend and to be in time for photos to be ready for Christmas post to Australia/NZ.
·  Discussion on combining with social event or holding world record attempt. / ALL

Adults only. Davie Paterson to be quizmaster.
Hall booked with school and Lets. Message passed to Rab.
Helen Wallace to organise food (crisps and macaroni cheese) and beer.
Discussion about ticket price to be taken online. Suggestion of £5 per person to include one beer and nibbles.
Music to be organised by Rebecca Holmes.
Prizes:
·  Spot Prizes to be organised.
·  Raffle – prizes to be donated by parents / PTA. Also ask Platform 3? Helen Wallace to send out email via school.
·  Winning team – crate of beer, medals and trophy suggested. / LW

8 / New fundraising targets
Discussions to be set up online:
·  12 iPads required for support workers in school as part of a trial they are part of.
·  Excursions suggestion. Possibility of Sparkle Night profits to be split between classes for outings.
·  Garden. People power needed more than funds. Suggestion to fund a gardener and advertise within local community.
·  Non-sport fundraising ideas required. To be held in early 2017. Last event was a sponsored silence which was very successful. Suggestion for it to be a world record attempt. / LW
