LORNE PARK SECONDARY SCHOOL - JANUARY 2015 - FINAL EXAMS
EXPECTATIONS OF STUDENTS
- It is the responsibility of each student writing an examination to be present, on time and in the correct location.
- Students are to be present in the examination room 5 minutes prior to the start of the exam. Students must remain in the exam room until dismissed by the supervising teacher. Students MUST remain in the room for the full exam time.
- No purses, bags, personal listening devices, electronic recording devices, coats, hats, etcetera should be taken into the exam room. You may not take notes or papers of any kind into the exam room, unless given specific instructions to do so by your teacher prior to the exam date.
- No electronic devices such as cell phones, i-pods, i-phones or Blackberries can be used as calculators during an exam and should not be used at all until the scheduled exam time is completed. Only proper calculators can be used during the exam with the permission of the teacher.
- Cheating and academic dishonesty in any form is not acceptable. Consequences may include a mark of zero on the exam and loss of course credit.
- Writing paper is provided by the school. Bring your own writing instruments. If more paper is needed hold up a piece of foolscap. Write on one side of the paper only.
- If you are late for an exam, you will not be admitted to that exam without an admit note from the Main Office. A student who is late will not be given any extra time to write an examination.
- If you are late for or miss an exam because of a medical emergency, a Doctor's certificate is required in the Main Office within 24 hours of the date of the exam. The doctor's note MUST state that you were unable to write the exam due to your medical condition.
- Students in grades 9-12 MUST write a final exam in order to get the credit. Check pages18-21in your student handbook for details.
- CANCELLATIONS: In the event that school is closed for any reason (i.e. weather), exams scheduled that day will take place on Tues. Jan.27, 2015in the prescribed 9:00 timeslot. Please listen to local radio stations for closure updates. DO NOT CALL THE SCHOOL.
