Lord of the Flies Final Project Choices

1.  Act out an important scene (group)

  1. Choose a crucial scene from the story
  2. Act it out in front of the class or on video
  3. Lines must be memorized!
  4. Skit should be at least 7 minutes long

2.  Compose and perform an original song (individual or group)

  1. Must address one of the themes in the novel
  2. Lyrics should accurately reflect details from the story
  3. Should be at least 3 minutes long

3.  Create original art work (individual)

  1. Draw or paint at least 3 significant scenes from the novel
  2. Portrayal must accurately reflect description and details from the novel

4.  Comic Book (individual or pair)

  1. Depict the main plot points of the novel in comic book form
  2. Artwork will be graded! (don’t choose this if you can’t draw!)

5.  Blog (individual)

  1. Imagine one of the characters has a laptop with an infinite battery life but no internet connection. He writes a blog recording events on the island, hoping to put it online the second he is rescued.
  2. Entries will be from one character’s point of view (you choose!)
  3. Entries must cover the scope of the novel

6.  Your idea?

Requirements for all projects:

1.  Proposal must be submitted and approved (see other side)

2.  Any changes to the proposal must be approved

3.  Your project must reflect a deep and accurate understanding of the novel
