Looking for an apprentice?Look at TABMA

TABMA Apprentices and Trainees operate as a group training organisation under the auspices of NAEN – The National Apprentice Employment Network and must comply with the national standards for group training services organisations and undertake and pass audits by the State Training Authority in each state.

Group Training is an employment arrangement whereby the group training organisation (GTO) employs trainees/apprentices and contracts or places them with a suitable host employer for a period of time from 3 months to 4 years. The GTO takes on all the employer responsibilities to ensure quality and continuity of the trainee/apprentices’ employment and training.

By taking on an apprentice or trainee through TABMA, you not only provide them with an opportunity to train, but you also gain a valuable staff member trained the way you want them. TABMA is your national apprenticeship expert and makes it easy for you to sign-up, train and retain apprentices and trainees for your industry. TABMA takes the pain out of apprentice and trainee recruitment, management and development. Their experienced field staff in each state will help you make an informed decision and support you and your new staff member from sign-up all the way through to completion.

  • TABMA takes on the responsibility of advertising, interviewing, pre-selecting and mentoring a trainee or apprentice for your business.
  • As TABMA is the registered employer, we on the behalf of the host employer cover the trainee or apprentice’s weekly wage and other award requirements, including annual leave, leave loading, superannuation, workers compensation insurance and P.P.E. These costs are then recovered from the host employer.
  • TABMA relieves you of the general administration of the ongoing employment requirements and any government paperwork required.
  • TABMA places the trainee or apprentice into the business for an agreed time (usually for the duration of the training contract).
  • TABMA provides counselling and support for trainees/apprentices and host employers.

TABMA is committed to working with the WADIC members to grow the number of apprentices and trainees engaged by members of WADIC. TABMA also assist with training options, including pre-apprenticeship programs designed to help young people obtain employment as apprentices or trainees and address skill shortages within the industry.

TABMA has organised specific pre-apprenticeship programs designed to attract new generation of apprentices and help provide you with committed and trade ready apprentices and trainees to assist you and your business.

For a number of years TABMA and WADIC have been in a strategic alliance and TABMA Apprentices & Trainees supplies many apprentices and trainees to our membership particularly in NSW. However TABMA can now offer this service nationwide.
