34/17 APPOINTMENT OF MRS LARA MOSEDALE TO THE PARISH COUNCIL

Mrs lara Mosedale was appointed as a Councillor and she duly signed The Declaration of Acceptance of Office form

Nothing has been heard since submitting a list of work that needs to be done to the Longford Footpath network

RESOLVED that the Clerk follow this up with the Footpath Officer

36/17 PC BAGGALEY’S REPORT

PC Baggeley has tendered her apologies, but has nothing to report

The mobile Police Station will be in Longford on the 23rd July from 3pm to 3 45pm

42/17 TO CONSIDER DONATION TOI WI FOR PUMP ROOM ELECTRICAL WORK

Longford WI has asked the Council to consider a donation towards the £1,435 cost of upgrading and safety of the electrics in the Pump Room

RESOLVED that the Council donate £400 under the S137 law towards the cost

43/17 UPDATE ON SUPPLY OF HIGH SPEED BROADBAND TO LONGFORD

Digital Derbyshire/BT Openreach are keen to site Cabinet 5 on the pavement outside the Pump Room, no approach at all has been made to the landowners of the two alternative sites in the vicinity. No wayleave would be required at the first site, but would at the two private sites

The site is in a Conservation Area, for which there are guide lines concerning the siting of cabinets

The Council were concerned about this, but mindful that the village needs High Speed Broadband without delay

RESOLVED that the Clerk contact Digital Derbyshire/BT Openreach to invite a site visit when all these sensitive issues can be discussed

44/17 UPDATE ON PARKINGADJACENT TO THE OLD CHEESE FACTORY

Jon Bradbury from DDDC Planning will be writing to the owner requesting him to ask his employees to park more considerately in the future

There is no enforcement available as over 10 years has elapsed since planning permission was granted

45/17 UPDATE ON QUOTATION FOR SURVEY OF CLOSED CHURCHYARD TREES

Ben King from Arbormasters has quoted £300 no VAT for this survey

RESOLVED that the Council accept the quotation and instructed the Clerk to proceed
