LODGING:
AAA Four Diamond rated Embassy Suites – Outdoor World Hotel, located just two miles north of DFW International Airport at Highway 121 and Bass Pro Drive, and adjacent to Grapevine Mills Mall (complimentary transportation every 30 minutes). Each suite features private bedroom with two full size beds and separate living room with sleeper sofa and spacious work areas. Also included is microwave, refrigerator, wet bar and coffeemakers with complimentary coffee. Two remote control televisions with cable, pay per view movies and Sony PlayStations. Full size ironing board with iron and hair dryers is included in every suite. Complimentary full cooked to order breakfast every morning is served in the Atrium and complimentary Happy Hour each evening from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. State of the art FitnessCenter, Indoor Pool with Sundeck, Sauna and Whirlpool.
GOLFING:
Saturday – Sky Creek Ranch Golf Club – Keller, TX
Sky Creek Ranch was opened in August of 1999 and already has the look and feel of a tour quality layout and facility. Designed by nationally famous architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr., son of one of the game’s legendary builders, the par 72 public access course measures a very challenging 6,953 yards from the back tees. Jones took full advantage of the lush surroundings and natural topographic beauty in Keller, one of the fastest growing communities in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. Big Bear Creek winds through the entire property and comes into play on 16 of the 18 holes. There are numerous lakes and tributaries throughout the course to challenge any skill level of player, with dozens of white sand bunkers as well as native Oak tress lining Big Bear Creek. The greens are composed of bent grass to give each player a true feel for their putts while the tees and fairways are 419 bermuda. Conveniently located between Dallas and Ft. Worth, this world-class daily fee course features hole after hole of challenging shots down fairways thickly lined with trees onto rolling greens.
Sunday – Texas Star Golf Course – Euless, TX
Keith Foster once again elevated the standards of Texas golf with his 1997 creation, Texas Star. Recipient of the coveted “4-star” rating from Golf Digest magazine, Texas Star features a unique landscape and design. Throughout the 275 acres, players encounter century old oak trees and an assortment of native grasses outlining the expansive fairways. The golf course was designed around Hurricane Creek, which meanders throughout the beautiful landscape of rolling hills, stacked rock ponds, waterfalls and natural woodlands. Texas Star spans nearly 7,000 yards and is a par 71, which guarantees to challenge golfers of every level. Conveniently located in Euless, only ten minutes from D/FW Airport, Texas Star provides golfers nationwide an opportunity to enjoy this Texas golf masterpiece. The course features large, undulating greens with the new G-2 bentgrass greens, while the fairways are 419 Bermuda.
Monday (Optional) – Tour 18 Dallas – Flower Mound, TX
Imagine yourself playing on carefully simulated holes from some of the greatest golf holes in America. This collaboration of incredible replicas offers one fantastic challenge after another, creating a uniquely memorable experience. Not only does Tour 18 Dallas have Augusta’s No. 12, but it has Amen Corner—Augusta’s Nos. 11, 12 and 13, which are the finishing holes at Tour 18. Other simulations includes famous holes from Cherry Hills, Baltusrol, Doral, Crooked Stick, Winged Foot, Medinah, Harbour Town, Oakland Hills, Sawgrass TPC, Oakmont, Southern Hills, Riviera, Pine Valley, Firestone and Muirfield Village.
