ANNOUNCEMENTS
SENIOR T-SHIRTS – “IT’S T-SHIRT TIME!!” Class of 2011 T-Shirts are on sale for $10 dollars! Come and get them fast before they’re sold out! You can buy them in the Activities Office during lunch and after school.
ASB/YEARBOOK SALES: Buy your ASB or yearbook in the Activities Office. Cost for ASB is $30 the yearbook price is $70. Purchase at lunch or after school.
MECHAS WINTER QUEEN 2010 – Junior or Senior Girls interested on Representing the MECHAS Club, as the MECHAS Winter Queen 2010. Please pick up an application from Mrs. Bustos-Martinez inside the attendance office. Application dateline is Friday, October 22, 2010. The winter queen will be announced during MECHAS eighth annual Posada on Friday, December 10, 2010 in the LHS Cafeteria.(18, 20, 22)
ATTENTION SENIORS – There are several scholarship opportunities that come available through the year that we make decisions for on-site. If you would like to be considered for these scholarships please fill out the Lompoc High School Common Application, as soon as possible, and turn it in to the counseling office. We will keep these on file for unique scholarships that come up through the year. The Common Scholarship application can be picked up in the counseling office or can be found on the Lompoc High School web page under the counseling tab. Please do this as soon as possible to be considered for these scholarship opportunities. We have a few scholarships that we need to make decisions for soon.(18,19,20,21,22)
HIGER EDUCATION WEEK – “Education Without Barriers” On Friday morning, October 22nd all LHS seniors and sophomores will have the opportunity to speak with over twenty-five college representatives during our college fair. Some of the colleges represented will include CSU Northridge, Brooks Institute, UC Merced, and the Paul Mitchell School. See your teachers or Ms. Michel and Mrs. Johnson in the Career Center for more information.(18,20,21)
SUPPORT BREAST CANCER AWARENESS – Kizmet Hair Salon will be on campus. Have you seen people with pink streaks in their hair this month? They’re promoting Breast Cancer Awareness. You can too! Kizmet Hair Salon will be on campus putting in the pink hair extension pieces on Wednesday, October 22nd at lunch in front of the cafeteria. The price is $5 for an extension, Teachers are $10. You can choose from light pink and dark pink. Get a funky style while supporting a great cause.(18,19,20)
ART CLUB – Do you want to express your creativity? Do you want to help make a mural for the whole school to see? Come to Art Club’s next meeting this Thursday at lunch in room IA3! You’ll be glad you did!(19,20,21)
