LOK-ON socket set range expands
Professional quality tools supplier Kincrome has extended its LOK-ON socket set range with the release of the Kincrome 40 Piece Socket Set in 1/2” drive size.
The LOK-ON sockets are the ideal companion for removing rounded fasteners. Kincrome ‘LOK-ON’ sockets drive the side of the fastener using a unique subtle cam found in the 6 point socket design. This unique design not only provides increased strength but also avoids the rounding of rusted and damaged fasteners. The cam design also enables the user to effectively loosen fasteners which have rounded by up to 85%.
The ‘LOK-ON’ design helps reduce stress concentration when torqued, preventing the fastener from rounding whilst offering better torque than conventional sockets.
The Kincrome socket set features 40 pieces of professional quality sockets and accessories. This set includes 33 sockets in popular imperial and metric sizes in 1/2” square drive sizes to suit many applications. The set also includes seven socket accessories including a ratchet handle, 3 extensions, spark plug socket, flex handle and universal joint.
The ratchet includes a push button quick release feature to ensure the socket is locked securely while in use and also allows for easy removal or quick change of socket even with greasy or oily fingers. The ratchet also includes a forward and reverse switch to easily change direction when required. The set also includes a combination extension bar which can be used either as a conventional straight bar or as a wobble bar providing 15 degrees of swivel for easier access, as well as a hex shaft end so you can add a spanner for extra torque.
Manufactured from quality chrome vanadium steel, the sockets feature a mirror polish chrome finish for corrosion protection. The set comes complete in a metal case with two clips and carry handle. The tools are housed within a PVC tray designed to hold tools safely and securely and are marked for easy tool identification, making tool selection quicker and easier.
