Logic Paper Cheat Sheet

You are going to write a paper in order to demonstrate your mastery of logical thought. Pick a thesis statement that is clearly outrageous such as “Why the sky is green” or “Why play-dough is clearly the best thing to feed young children.” You will then use 3 logical fallacies to prove your point. Following the conclusion of your paper, outline and define the fallacies chosen and why you used them the way you did.

Introduction paragraph: stating your thesis and explaining your idea

Body Paragraph #1: using the first fallacy you chose to defend your thesis

Body Paragraph #2: using the second fallacy you chose to defend your thesis

Body Paragraph #3: using the third fallacy you chose to defend your thesis

Conclusion paragraph: brief summary tying all three arguments together, concluding the defense of your ridiculous thesis
