Log in to the Employee Self Service

HOW TO VIEW AND PRINT JOB APPLICATIONS IN

EMPLOYEE SELF SERVICE (ESS).

Screen 1.

·  Log in to the Employee Self Service (ESS) using your Flinders Staff Number and ESS Password.

·  Click on Recruitment Administration.

Screen 2.

·  From the drop-down menu list, click on Vacancy Monitor.

o  The Vacancy Monitor Screen will appear.

o  This Screen will display only those job vacancies for which you are an Appointment Committee Member or Contact Person.

o  From this Screen you can see the Number of Applicants for each of your job vacancies.

·  Click on the Vacancy Reference # to open up the vacancy details and view the list of applicants. (You don’t have to wait until the closing date for applications has passed; you can view applications at any time). The published Position Descriptions can be downloaded from the Vacancy Progression screen.

Screen 3.

·  From the Screen that appears, you can see a list of all applicants and the status of their application (Action). For example in the Screen above, the Action taken for both applicants is that a ‘Standard Acknowledgement’ of the receipt of their application was sent on 13 May 2008.

·  Click on the Applicant# to view an applicant’s resume and supporting documents.

Screen 4.

·  A pop-up window shows the application in more detail and provides the link(s) to the applicant’s supporting documents.

o  If you wish, you can print out the applicant details by clicking on the print icon.

o  Click on the link to view an applicant’s supporting documents. If you are having trouble opening them, try saving them to your desktop first.


Screen 5.

·  Print the supporting documents by using the print icon in the pop-up window.

·  Close the pop-up windows to view the next applicant.
