Ferry Plantation

Date: 2/13/10-2/14/10

Time: 8pm-5am

Investigators: Andrew, Tiffany, Katelyn, Sara, Katie, Bryant, Kim, Eric, Tom, Ira

Weather Conditions: Mostly clear, cold (Around 25 degrees outside, about 50-65 inside).

Personal Experiences:

Andrew and Sara hear something dragging on the outside of a wall in the séance room. (1-130am)

Andrew feels nauseated in the nanny room with Sara. (230am)

Tom and Bryant get dowsing rod answers in the nanny room (Correlated with EVP’s at the same time). (1230-45am)

Kim, Katie and Sara hear a loud noise crash around them. (10pm)

“hey” is heard over the walkie while all investigators were in the conference room. (9pm)

Talking is heard in another room while on the pre-tour. (8pm)

Debunking/Alternative Possibilities to paranormal:

Andrew and several other investigators noticed that when you walk into most of the rooms of the house the vibration from the floorboards can make objects appear to be moving when you walk in.

Lots of dust can get kicked up because of the age of the house resulting in lots of orbs.

There is also high EMF’s leaking from the floor in the séance room that could lead to feelings of paranoia or others such as being watched, or feeling sick or lightheaded (EMF hyper sensitivity).

Noise can travel fairly easy from floor to floor causing things to appear to be louder and sound closer than they actually are.

Lot of pictures taken outside on the property, appear to be lights from nearby houses, and “the fire effect” appears to be house lights that were caught in a blur (meaning the person either moved or slightly moved when the shutter captured the picture. Trails of light on photos could potentially be a fireflies’ light caught trailing through the picture as well as animal and bat eyes (though these are just possibilities.

Video Evidence:

10:08pm-(Sara, Katie, and Kim on the side of the house near the kitchen) legs are seen running by the upper left corner of the screen.

Audio Evidence:

1140pm- (Sara and Katie in the Séance room) faint male old fashioned voice saying something undistinguishable.

1233am- (Tom and Bryant in the nanny’s room) voice saying “no”.

1239am-(Tom and Bryant in the nanny’s room) voice saying “no” again after they asked if the spirit wanted them to leave.

118am- (Andrew and Sara in the Séance room) the sound of something dragging the outside wall of the house.

120am-(Andrew and Sara in the Séance room) a older female voice saying either “come here” or “im here”

441am- (Andrew, Sara, Tiffany and Tom in the Séance room) a child-like female voice saying either “did you” or “can you” …”hear me?”

Summary and Opinion:

The investigation was great! The house has a very wide range of emotional history and seems to hold lots of residual energy and possibly even an intelligent spirit or two (according to the claims). We had a few controversial first-hand experiences that night that seemed to definitely be not normal (paranormal), however we couldn’t get a definitive say on if those experiences were actually caused by supernatural or natural causes. We did however recover quite a few convincing audio clips that seem to add more mystery to the location. The video clip is very subjective, and hard to define exactly what you are seeing, but nonetheless is a piece of unexplainable footage. All in all, in the ODGH official opinion, we can’t definitively say that place is haunted (based solely on our experiences), however we do think that after the audio findings from the location, paranormal phenomena does seem to exist in the house.
