ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Process payment documents in SAM II system to include PVQ’s (Quick Payment Vouchers), PVE’s (Expense Payment Vouchers, P1’s (Vendor Payment Vouchers, VIQ’s (Quick Vendor Invoices), RC’s (Receivers).

·  Receive and process vendor invoices.

·  Prepare & download reports from MOBIUS for transmittal.

·  Maintain Access database.

·  Perform other related work as assigned.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.

·  Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices and ability to apply them to varied accounting transactions.

·  Working knowledge of office methods and procedures.

·  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, specifically Access.

·  Skill in the use of adding machines and calculators.

·  Ability to prepare complete and accurate accounting reports and statements of moderate difficulty.

·  Ability to perform detailed work using statistical and financial data.

·  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

·  Ability to interpret moderately difficult financial reports.

·  Ability to travel periodically for training/conferences/seminars as needed.

·  Ability to demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.

·  Knowledge of SAMII system is highly preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·  Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with specialization in accounting.

OR

·  Four years of varied double-entry bookkeeping experience of which at least two years must have involved responsibility for the more difficult bookkeeping tasks including the preparation of work sheets, the preparation of financial statements, the classification of items for proper entry, etc. (Successful completion of a full one-year course in accounting from an accredited college or university, or its equivalent in a recognized business college, may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for a maximum of two years of general experience.)

OR

·  Four years of governmental accounting experience at the level of Account Clerk II. (Successful completion of a full one-year course in accounting from an accredited college or university, or its equivalent in a recognized business college, may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for a maximum of two years of experience.)
