LOCAL PAY GRADE: AVJSalary: $52,054 - $55,742

QUALIFICATIONS: /
  • Master’s Degree - preferred
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) – preferred. If not, Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) and working toward BCBA.
  • Classroom teaching experience preferred
  • Two years of successful related experience
  • Demonstrated skills in working on a team
  • Ability to relate positively to students, parents, and staff
  • Demonstrated skills in performing functional behavioral assessments and developing interventions
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in parent training
  • Ability to provide in-service training to staff on techniques and issues related to behavior management
  • Demonstrated skills in working with students with ASD and other developmental or neurological disorders
  • Familiarity with using the ABLLS as a tool for educational planning
  • Demonstrates competence in developing data collection systems that can be implemented in the classroom setting
  • Ability to work well with other adults and maintain self-control in high stress situations
  • Ability to self-monitor and complete general tasks with minimal guidance
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Demonstrate flexibility within the work environment

major responsibilities: /
  • Handle high demands and high stress dynamics from students, families and staff
  • Provide temporary support to designated students and staff
  • Facilitate and/or support appropriate staff development sessions
  • Accurately collect data for support planning
  • Maintain prompt and regular attendance
  • Display a professional demeanor at all times
