Loddon Valley Leisure offers Zumba classes for kids in Wokingham
15th October 2014:Loddon Valley Leisure is pleased to announce Zumba classes for children under 15 years old. Children in the Wokingham area now have the chance to have fun and keep fit at the classes, which will take place on Monday evenings.
The classes will be split into two age groups, children aged 4-7 years will run from 4.30pm until 5.00pm, and will cost £2.50 per session, and children aged 8-15 years will be from 5.00pm until 5.45pm, and will cost £3.00 per session.
Zumba is an incredibly popular dance workout class that features elements from salsa, samba and hip-hop and it is estimated that 14 million people take a class every week!
Tony Penge, Contract Manager at Loddon Valley Leisure, commented:
“We are so excited to be able to bring the phenomenon that is Zumba to a younger generation within our community. It is already a great success with our adult members at Loddon Valley, and we hope that the fun nature of the class will inspire the children to stay fit, and also have fun with exercise.
“Zumba Kids classes feature kid-friendly routines based on original Zumba choreography. We break down the steps; add games, activities and cultural exploration elements into the class structure.Classes incorporate key childhood development elements like leadership, respect, team work, confidence, self-esteem, memory, creativity, coordination and cultural awareness."
