Living Environmentally Project 300 points possible
Objectives
a. Students develop a journal to calculate how much energy is used and money is spent
through daily activities….must itemize materials and develop cost analysis
b. Students identify housing (rent) and realistically estimate associated expenses (must have
at least 1 roommate but no more than 3)
c. Students identify a realistic job based on their experience level as they graduate high
school. Job can not exceed 40 hours per week. Taxes are calculated based on gross monthly wages. Students calculate net wage.
d. Students add expenses from journal and housing components and subtract that total from
net income.
e. Students identify 10 areas they can conserve or live environmentally based on their income
and expenses (example given below)
