(LLM)

List of Required Documents for your Windsor LawLLM Application:

  1. Transcripts for law degree and undergraduate degree(s)-unofficial copies may be sent by email but if an offer of admission is extended on the basis of unofficial transcripts, final official transcripts must be submitted prior to registration in the program.
  2. Statement of Research Interests & Autobiographical Sketch (submitted by email through a fillable form, available here(or in MSWord here)) indicating, among other things:
  3. how the applicant demonstrates the skills of application, knowledge, reasoning ability and communication outlined in the LLM Admission Requirements;
  4. why the applicant believes that their work fits with Windsor Law School’s themes of access to justice and/or transnational law;along with their career goals and reasons for pursuing an LLM at Windsor Law.
  5. the program stream to which the applicant is applying (regular research thesis stream (one calendar year) or LLM with Certificate in University Teaching and Learning (two calendar years) and how the applicant’s experiences will enable them to successfully complete the stream chosen.
  6. A research proposal (2-3 pages; as described in the Statement of Research Interests & Autobiographical Sketch).
  7. A curriculum vitae.
  8. An academic writing samplesuch as a paper or a prior publication written in an academic context that demonstrates your writing abilities; preferably written originally in English.
  9. Two (2) academic reference letters.
  10. All students for whom English is a second language must meet an English language proficiency standard of :250 (600) IBT-100 minimum on the TOEFL or 7.0 IELTS.
  11. Students applying for the Windsor Law LLM Scholarship in Recognition of the Syrian Refugee Crisisshould:
  12. indicate their interest in the scholarship in theStatement of Research Interests & Autobiographical Sketch form and
  13. providea 300-500 wordpersonal essay indicating the hardship that they have encountered and how the scholarship will assist. This document should be submitted along with the application package

Statement of Research Interests & Autobiographical Sketchand accompanying documents should be submitted in PDF by email to: by January 15 for the following September. Please be sure to indicate the program to which you are applying in the subject line of your email.

Applicants must also fill out the OUAC online graduate program application form located herein order for their application package to be complete.
