TTA (Texas Telephone Association) Foundation Scholarship
Amount / 6 – four year scholarships of $1,500 per year

Requirements / Complete application form and attach a current official transcript to the application form.
Also attach a letter of acceptance from the Texas college or university you will be attending in Fall 2014 (If you have not yet received an acceptance letter, please indicate the name of the school you are planning to attend, and forward a copy of your acceptance letter to TTAF as soon as you receive it.). Include a copy of your SAR (Student Aid Report). To obtain your SAR complete a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form on‐line at www.fafsa.ed.gov/complete001.htm.
Eligibility / High school senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (4.0 scale), planning to attend a Texas college or university in the Fall of 2014.

Bear Branch Elementary PTA High School Senior Scholarship

Requirements / Complete application plus type-written, double spaced 250-350 word essay (“My favorite PTA sponsored event at Bear Branch Elementary was…”), a list of three extracurricular activities during your high school years about which you are most proud, a letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor or principal in the school you are currently attending, a copy of your parent/student’s current PTA/PTSA membership card, and a recent photo.
Eligibility / Must be a graduating high school senior from a public high school in Humble ISD. Applicant must have a GPA of 2.5 or its equivalent (letter of verification required) and the applicant or applicant’s parent must be a member of a local PTA/PTSA in good standing. Must plan to be enrolled full-time in an accredited college, university or technical institute. Applicant must not be in the immediate family or a member of the BBE PTA Scholarship Committee.

Eligibility / Scholarship awarded to African-American, Hispanic, Asian or Native American seniors from greater Houston area. Students must be interested in a career in law, be in the top 20% of their class, have a combined minimum SAT score of 1650 and have financial need.

Italian Cultural & Community Center Scholarships –

Organization for Autism Research – Schwallie Family & Lisa Higgins Hussman Scholarship Programs

Eligibility / Any individual with an established autism diagnosis (DSM-IV or later criteria) and who will be attending an accredited institution of higher education in the United States for the Fall 2014 / Spring 2015 semesters is eligible to apply. Eligible individuals need to be enrolled on a full-time basis or be working toward certification or accreditation in a particular field (e.g., studying to be a paralegal, chef, etc.) as well as one of the growing number of certificate and life skills / transition programs.
