Baylor University annually awards scholarship through the Carr P. Collins Scholars program to students who have demonstrated leadership through service. Collins Scholars are awarded at least $4,750 their freshman year, renewable for three additional years. To be considered for the program, applicants must meet all university requirements for unconditi9onal admission’ have a minimum combined critical reading and math score of 1250 on the ST or a minimum of 28 on the ACT; have completed a balanced college preparatory program including history, science, and a foreign language; be in the top quarter of their graduating class; and be a resident of the state of Texas.

Baylor University also has an outstanding scholarship program for National Merit Finalists. Students who advance to Finalist standing in the National Merit Scholarship competition and designate Baylor University as their first choice college with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation are awarded the Regents’ Gold Scholarship. This scholarship covers full tuition plus an additional amount ranging from $2,000 to $4,000, depending on the finalist’s SAT/ACT score.

Baylor also offers other academic scholarships through its President’s Gold, Provost’s Gold, and Deans’ Gold Scholarship programs. These scholarships range in value from $12,000 to $68,000, divided evenly over four years of undergraduate study. Students are considered for these awards by virtue of their application to Baylor.
