Why is community service important to you?
What type of volunteerism have you done in the past?
What type of service would you like to particiapte in as a B-Vol?
What is a B-Vol?
A B-Vol is a Bonner Volunteer – a Lindsey Wilson College student who is highly committed to service and making positive change in the Adair County community that will be their home for the next few years. B-Vols are an extension of the Bonner Program at LWC.
What are the requirements?
B-Vols commit to 100 hours of community service each year – this can be 80 hours of direct service, and up to 20 hours of training and enrichment (workshops, meetings, etc.). This may seem like a lot, but it really comes down to roughly 3.5 hours of service each week. B-Vols have monthly meetings to check in, discuss their service, and reflect on their experiences.
What are the perks?
B-Vols may not commit to as strenuous of a service expectation as Bonner Scholars, but they’re still welcome at Bonner events – All-Bonner Meetings, Class Meetings, Cookie Conversations, workshops, social events, and more! They get the chance to be part of the Bonner family in a very real and connected way.
What do I do now?
If you’re interested in being a B-Vol, fill out the application on the side opposite. You can send that in by scanning and emailing it to , or you can mail it to:
